How to get to Poreč ?

Poreč is located about in the middle of the west coast of the Istrian peninsula, halfway between Umag and Rovinj.
If you decide to stay in Poreč or nearby, you can reach your destination with every form of transportation - plane, railroad, bus, personal car or by the sea.

Poreč has an excellent developed infrastructure so your arrival with a car can be smooth. If you are coming from the north follow Ljubljana - Črni Kal - border crossing Požane - Buzet - Vižinada - Poreč. If you are coming from the east follow Zagreb - Rijeka - tunnel Učka - Pazin - Baderna - Poreč. If you are coming from the south follow Pula - Vodnjan - Bale - St. Lovreč - Poreč. If you are arriving with a plane your destination is the Pula airport, located just 50 km from the city. You can then continue your trip with a bus, taxi or a rent-a-car.

If you decide to take a trip with the bus, there are regular lines from Zagreb, Pula, Split or Dubrovnik.

It is possible to come from Ljubljana over Divača by the train to Buzet or Pula. You can reach Rijeka from Zagreb and then continue to Pazin located 30 km from Poreč. Also, you can arrive from Italy with the train.

If you are arriving with a boat, you can come via port Koper, Pula or Rijeka. There are also some companies that organize the transportation via boat to Poreč. If you are arriving with your own boat there are some marinas nearby.
